Mayoral visit Radipole sensory garden Weymouth 24 April 2025

Fantastic…All the Planets Aligned. Radipole Sensory Garden April 2025

Radipole Sensory Garden We knew it would be a big day for Radipole Park & Gardens. Judgement day for whether we'd all done enough to achieve a Green Flag for our beautiful green space, one of the objectives of our Lottery award. Tom, Weymouth Town Council's resident gardener, and his colleagues, had worked so hard to reach this stage. We'd mustered the FORPAG troops, put in our order for nice weather, it was a case of fingers and toes crossed. Not knowing who, when, how many judges would arrive, every passerby was eyed with possible interest. Finally a man with a clip board wandered into the sensory garden, taking great...

Helping Hands are Always Welcome; Asda’s Green Tokens.

We've just crossed another wonderful event off our list. Last Sunday's Band in the Park was well attended, despite not only fierce competition from other large events in the area but also numerous, not to be missed, sporting finals on tv! But as ever, we can't rest on our laurels, it's onwards and upwards with our fund raising for the Sensory garden, even more important as it's only a couple of months away before the ground works start! Events held in our gardens aren't the only way we raise money, we also look to any grants available and various schemes whereby we can add to our coffers. Over...
