Welcome to the website for Weymouth’s Radipole Park & Gardens run by the Friends group of the park. This is the hub for all manner of information about our beautiful open space, from what’s happening in the park and gardens to a list of events taking place. Photographs taken of our stunning gardens in all their glory…and some of those that tell it’s story. Radipole gardens are renown for their wonderfully gnarled weeping willows that drape the pathways, flickering with light and shade in the summer months. The Wildflower Meadow

An area was set aside for a wildflower meadow in Radipole park, it sits at the top end of the park at the entrance to the community orchard. A narrow path meanders its way through the flowers that positively buzz with wildlife. Poppies and grasses sway in the summer's breeze Hopefully it'll go from strength to strength as the years pass....

Bygone images of Radipole Park

Anyone who knows me also know I have a weakness for collecting old images of my home town. Amongst my somewhat extensive collection of old postcards and guide books are a few of Radipole gardens which I thought might be great to share on here. Goodness only knows why they called them New Melcombe Regis Gardens, presumably because they continued on in a manner from the old new Melcombe regis gardens. Might jog a few memories? Certainly do for me because these were my childhood stomping grounds....
