Thrilling…It’s All Go Go Go On Site; Quick Updates May 2024.

Quick Updates May 2024

Today’s visit on site working on the sensory garden was a real hive of activity.

We arrived to find a huge lorry packed with materials for the car park, only just squeezing into the parking spot.

All the way from Blackpool, and not a single stick of rock in sight, ‘don’t like the stuff” muttered its driver!

Mountains of dug out soil were being removed.

There seemed to be workmen everywhere, whilst we poodled in the relative peace of our new sensory garden, setting out pots for tomorrow’s planting session with the PGL group.

The borders are starting to fill out now, soil nice and moist ready for the next lot, thanks to last night’s absolute deluge.

Further down the MUGA now has its markings in place, I passed a few people armed with ball heading for it.

The new tennis courts have theirs too, and nets, along with pickle ball markings.

Our ethos being recreation should be accessible to one and all.

A notice on the courts inform people that free sessions for young people and those with disabilities have been arranged.

Apart from those the courts are free to use on a first come first serve basis.

It’s all starting to come together now.

Exciting Days!
