What did the park look like many moons ago?

Basically, Radipole park looked like this…

It was once a part of Radipole Lake otherwise known as the Backwater (as opposed to the seafront)

The lady in the image looking out over the lake is sat on what is nowadays the railway bank leading to coronation Crescent.
