Weymouth & Portland Pride by the Seaside; Radipole Park

Our green spaces should be safe for everyone to visit, relax and enjoy the outdoors, a place where no one should feel excluded, isolated, intimidated or threatened by others. That is the case this coming weekend, everyone's welcomed to what will be a kaleidoscope of colour, people, stalls, lively entertainment and a stage packed with performances, and it's all happening in Weymouth's Radipole park. Weymouth & Portland's first annual Pride event Pride by the Seaside. It's a time when we can all come together and 'celebrate equality and diversity in our community.' Great to see so many Weymouth businesses behind this event...

Helping Hands are Always Welcome; Asda’s Green Tokens.

We've just crossed another wonderful event off our list. Last Sunday's Band in the Park was well attended, despite not only fierce competition from other large events in the area but also numerous, not to be missed, sporting finals on tv! When running events in Radipole gardens, we invite along people that complement our ethos, such was the case when we organised our Wildlife & Wellbeing event back in in May. One of the ladies who attended that day, Emma Pritchard, led people on a 'stomp' through the gardens. Being a great believer in the power of nature to help heal mind and body, what she spoke about really resonated with me. We often see groups walking through our gardens, enjoying the sounds, smells, sights of nature and of course the company of others. A study undertaken by researchers at Michigan University, found that joining in group...
