Weymouth & Portland Pride by the Seaside; Radipole Park
Our green spaces should be safe for everyone to visit, relax and enjoy the outdoors, a place where no one should feel excluded, isolated, intimidated or threatened by others.
That is the case this coming weekend, everyone’s welcomed to what will be a kaleidoscope of colour, people, stalls, lively entertainment and a stage packed with performances, and it’s all happening in Weymouth’s Radipole park.
Weymouth & Portland’s first annual Pride event Pride by the Seaside.
It’s a time when we can all come together and ‘celebrate equality and diversity in our community.’
Great to see so many Weymouth businesses behind this event…it’ll sure be a weekend for everyone to enjoy and remember.
The fun packed program of events start off on the Friday at 1pm with a Parade Street Party sponsored by Wessex FM.
It’ll be ‘a brand new walking street parade. The parade will be a colourful and diverse celebration, including school groups, acts, Charities and businesses.
The event starts at Radipole Park Drive at 1pm where the theme Pride by the Seaside will really come to life with fancy dress competitions and amazing parade entries.’

On Saturday the festivities continue apace with a brilliant show-stopping line-up.
‘The main stage festival commences at 12pm at Radipole park we have a huge line up of acts and events scheduled for what promises to be a truly magical day for all the family to enjoy.
Host Vicki Vivacious
welcomes a diverse and electric line up to the stage acts starting from 12.30pm include local DJ’s Chris Bonney, DJ Matty Howes and DJ Andy Cleeton, A touch of little mix the uk’s top Little Mix tribute band, Pink performed by the amazingly talented Laura Tapp, Revival the world famous Abba tribute band, uk drag sensation Son of a Tutu, finalists from the BBC All together Now series The Sundaes, Fresh from the Xfactor Stage the amazing Misunderstood, 90’s dance sensation Booty Luv and Big Brovaz, and the heart throb from JLS Aston Merrygold will be headlining the stage.
Also in the festival arena we have a family zone with Weymouth Sealife centre, Absolute Discos will be hosting a huge silent disco tent, there will be food stalls, bars, trade stands, face and glitter painting and much much more.

‘Pride in the park is a day for all the family showcasing, local live music, local Djs and entertainment to suit all ages.
The entertainment commences from 12pm showcasing local talent from Weymouth college, live music from local singer songwriter Finlay Leslie, Neil Coad, the amazing Leanne Jackson takes to the stage as Lady Gaga, DJ Matty H will be providing a Closet DJ Takeover. The winner from Street in the park DJ competition will be showing us his talents, local bands take to the stage including The Leggomen ending off the weekend with a brand new act, featuring X-Factor, All Together Now and West end stars in the Best Of The Boybands tribute to all the favourite boy bands of our time.
