Begone Blasted Beast…Leave Spring Well Alone.
With this unwelcome return of the so called Mini Beast From the East…you might well wonder what on earth happened to spring.
She is still there…just temporarily cloaked in winters last fling.
So to cheer us all up and remind us what delights a few days of warmth and sunshine brings forth, here’s a couple of images from a stroll through the park on a glorious day right before the Beast swept back in.
Our Community Orchard.
The Community Orchard sits at the far end of Radipole play park.
We even spotted a playgroup who were enjoying this enclosed area the other day, lovely to see these tots being introduced to nature and wildlife and enjoying the outdoors.
It might only be a small, compact area, but it’s beautiful…and productive, for both people and wildlife.
Keep your eyes peeled for our fruit pressing event later in the year.
At the moment it’s surrounded by a glowing ring of daffodils.
And in a few weeks time it’s fruiting trees will be smothered in blossom.
Worth taking a stroll to see.
